Paralegal Diploma at Yorkville College - Overview:

Graduates of this diploma program acquire a broad understanding of the Canadian legal system and specific knowledge about several major areas of law. The course of study is intense. After laying the theoretical groundwork for a particular area of law, students are taught "real world" applications of the law. In this format students will be developing confidence and competence in the key skill areas sought in this fast growing job market. Each module equips students with legal information they will use to assist clients and act as agents for those who need help with a variety of legal services either directly or under the supervision of a practicing lawyer.

Course Duration and Admission Requirement to Paralegal Program

36 weeks (900 Hours) Grade 12 or equivalent or mature student status. Proficiency in English. Interview prior to admission in to the program

Graduation Requirements Paralegal Diploma:

Students having achieved a minimum 60% or better average per module will be recommended for their diploma. An overall grade of 90% and above is awarded an "Honors" designation.
